The ACVV is a welfare association which for more than a century has been committed to the promotion of and support for the quality of life of individuals, families and communities.

Serves, resources and knowledge are available to all South African irrespective of race, language, culture, religion or gender.

The ACVV regards the welfare of the family as vitally important to the welfare of society. Inherent in the ACVV's philosophy is the fact that welfare services should help people in need to gain independence.

The focus groups that the ACVV render services to is children, youth, women, older persons and families.

Child Welfare South Africa (CWSA) is an umbrella body that represents 171 affiliates and branches as well as developing children's organisations in communities throughout South Africa. Together with its members it forms the largest non-profit, non-governmental organisation in the country in the fields of child protection and child and family care and development.

With a national office that works on macro issues relating to the well-being of children, provincial offices working directly with our member organisations, and local CWSA affiliates and branches delivering services on the ground, CWSA is now in a stronger position than ever to act as a link between concerned individuals/companies and local communities in creating a child-friendly, child-centred society in our country.

Curamus Association

Curamus Association

The Curamus Association is a Non-profit company which assists and supports Victims of war in Southern Africa.

History

Curamus was established on 21 October 1990
The original purpose was to care for South African Defence Force members who became wounded and disabled in the execution of their duties
After 1994 Curamus was restructured to include all disabled Veterans of the South African National Defence Force, Non staturay forces and other organizations which were part of the struggle

Aim

To assist members with suitable assistive devices and ample material resources
To act as a mouthpiece for members on a national level
To bargain for services and facilities for members in order to reach independence from and integration into society
To support members in becoming self-sufficient
To obtain capable personnel and sources necessary to reach the purpose of the Association
To motivate members to take on new challenges
